What Are The Seven Forms Of Art?
Art is an ever-expanding field, embracing almost every possible mode of expression imaginable. It includes theater, cinema, photography, performance, literature, and more. The word “art” can be used to describe any of these endeavors, but it most commonly refers to visual arts (which includes theater, films, and photography). Art is also a broad spectrum of human activities which involve an intention to communicate beauty, strength, emotion, intellectual knowledge, or other intangible qualities. These endeavors are often described as being “social” – that is, they attempt to interact with the people around us in order to further understanding of human experience.
There are some broad distinctions that can be made between the various types of art. One is between the actual techniques used to create the art itself, and the way the art is presented. Abstract art, for instance, usually does not have an obvious purpose. Rather than use paint or clay to create the image, the abstract artist uses his or her own creative mediums – such as shapes, colors, and lighting techniques – in order to achieve a desired effect. Other popular types of abstract art include Pop Art, Post-Impressionism, and Fauvism.
Another distinction is between highly technical forms of art and more generalized forms. Technical art normally utilizes advanced tools and machinery in order to create the work. Examples include works by Picasso, Monet, and others. Non-technical forms of art typically do not utilize advanced machinery. Examples include paintings and sculptures. Some non-technical forms of art include literature and film.
Sculpture is probably the oldest art form in the world, dating back to 3000 B.C. It is a combination of both an art form and a physical structure. A well-known sculpture is the Statue of Liberty. Other well-known structures include the Eiffel Tower and the Chateau of France. In addition to architecture, sculpture is also used in fine arts, painting, and photography.
Other contemporary definitions of art include pop art, casual art, and the visual arts. Pop art uses several popular images in paintings for example Key West, Brinkmann’s Blenheim Palace, and advertisements. Casual art is an artistic style that is considered informal and friendly. It usually uses everyday items as its basis. Visual arts generally utilize two or more media including painting, sculpture, and photography.
These are just some of the various forms of art. Others include theater, dance, printmaking, video, photographic, and installation art. Each of these forms of art have their own distinctive aesthetic properties and characteristics. These characteristics can be considered aesthetic, physical, conceptual, and social.
